Govt Launches Viksit Bharat Quiz 2025 to Engage Youth in Nation-Building Vision

Date:

The Government of India has launched the Viksit Bharat Quiz 2025 as part of its effort to engage young citizens in shaping the nation’s development vision. Hosted on the MY Bharat portal, the initiative falls under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026, and aims to provide a platform for youth aged between 15 and 29 years to showcase their knowledge, ideas, and leadership skills.

The quiz has been designed to be accessible nationwide and is conducted in 16 languages to ensure broad participation. It covers a wide range of themes central to the nation’s progress, including general knowledge, India’s achievements in various sectors, the anti-obesity campaign, de-addiction drives, self-reliance initiatives under Atma Nirbhar Bharat, and the promotion of local industries through the “Vocal for Local” movement. By focusing on such diverse areas, the quiz seeks to spark curiosity among participants and encourage them to think critically about the country’s challenges and opportunities.

Participation in the quiz comes at no cost to the youth, with the last date for entries set as October 15, 2025. The initiative aims to reach every state and union territory, ensuring that young voices from even the remotest parts of India have a chance to be represented in the national dialogue. This inclusivity is central to the larger vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, which aspires to make India a fully developed nation by the time it marks 100 years of independence.

The quiz serves as the first stage of a larger process. Winners from this round will advance to subsequent stages that include essay writing, presentations, and interactive sessions. These rounds are designed to give young participants greater opportunities to express their ideas, showcase leadership potential, and contribute meaningfully to the national development narrative. The final stage of the competition will culminate in the Viksit Bharat Championship, scheduled to be held during the National Youth Festival in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2026.

The process of registration has been kept straightforward to encourage maximum participation. Interested candidates are required to visit the MY Bharat portal at www.mybharat.gov.in and complete a simple registration process using either their mobile number or email ID. After generating and verifying an OTP, they must fill in essential details such as name, date of birth, gender, district, and qualifications. Once registration is complete, participants can access the quiz tab through the portal’s dashboard and begin attempting the questions under the VBYLD event listing.

The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, which is coordinating the quiz, has urged young people in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as across the country to actively participate in the competition. Officials emphasize that beyond the test of knowledge, the quiz is an opportunity for youth to become part of a collective effort in nation building and to align their aspirations with India’s developmental goals.

With a growing demographic advantage, India’s youth are seen as central to the country’s progress in the coming decades. Initiatives such as the Viksit Bharat Quiz are intended to channel their energy and ideas into constructive avenues, fostering both awareness and active participation. By testing knowledge and simultaneously encouraging innovation, the initiative aims to nurture future leaders who will contribute to India’s transformation.

As the deadline for entries approaches, the response from across the states and union territories is expected to reflect the enthusiasm of young Indians keen to engage with the vision of a developed nation. For many, the quiz offers more than competition, it provides a chance to connect with a larger narrative of progress, responsibility, and shared goals.
