Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 25: Applicants seeking admission to the two-year B.Ed programme at Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE), Sri Vijaya Puram, have been given additional time to raise claims and objections, with the revised deadline set for August 28. The final merit list for the 2026-27 academic session will be published on August 29, followed by counselling on August 31 and commencement of classes on September 1.
The college, a constituent institution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Institute of Higher Learning (NSCBIHL), said claims and objections can be submitted on August 25, August 27 and August 28 during working hours. Applicants can file them either offline at TGCE or through the online process.
For online submissions, candidates must send their claims or objections to the college at tagoreadmissions@gmail.com along with valid supporting documents and one set of photocopies of those documents. Applicants submitting their objections in person must also provide the required supporting material.
The college has made clear that claims or objections submitted after the specified dates will not be considered. In such cases, the next eligible candidate in the merit list will be considered for admission.
After the objection period closes on August 28, TGCE will publish the final merit list on August 29 at 5 pm. The list will be made available through the official college admission portal, collegeadmission.andamannicobar.gov.in, under the “Announcements” section.
Candidates who remain eligible for admission and wish to join the two-year B.Ed programme have been asked to attend the counselling scheduled for August 31.
The admission process will require selected candidates to produce their original certificates at the time of admission. They must also submit one set of photocopies of all original certificates and pay the requisite admission fee on the same day.
Failure to provide the required certificates and fees on the date of admission will result in the candidate not being considered for admission.
The academic session is scheduled to move into its next stage immediately after counselling, with classes set to begin on September 1.
The revised schedule therefore gives applicants three specified dates, August 25, August 27 and August 28, to scrutinise their details and raise any claims or objections before the final merit list is prepared.
Applicants have been advised to adhere to the prescribed dates and submission requirements, as objections filed outside the notified period will not be taken up for consideration.
