SHITIJ 2.0 Invites Andaman MSMEs, Startups and Innovators for Two-Month Programme

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 21: MSMEs, startups, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers and students from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands with innovative ideas can apply for the SHITIJ 2.0 Startup Incubation Programme of ICAR–CIRCOT, Mumbai, with applications closing on August 25, 2026.

The opportunity has been circulated through the Branch MSME Office, Sri Vijaya Puram, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, based on information received from the Agri Business Incubation Center of ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The programme is designed to provide selected eligible participants with intensive training and mentoring over two months. Participants will receive guidance from scientists, subject experts and industry professionals as they work towards developing and validating their innovative ideas.

The incubation programme will include one-to-one mentoring as well as practical support through field trials and technology validation. Participants will also receive guidance on understanding market requirements, developing business models and defining value propositions.

The programme is open to a broad range of applicants, including established MSMEs and startups as well as individual innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers and students who have innovative ideas.

The programme is being shared locally through the MSME office and ICAR-CIARI’s Agri Business Incubation Center, providing prospective applicants in the Islands with access to the incubation opportunity.

The two-month training and mentoring component will bring participants into interaction with scientists, subject specialists and industry professionals. The programme’s support structure covers both technical and commercial aspects, including testing technologies through field trials, validating them and assessing market needs before developing business models and value propositions.
