Seva Pakhwada 2025: BJP to launch two-week service drive in Andaman & Nicobar Islands from Sept 17

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a two-week service campaign, Seva Pakhwada 2025, scheduled from September 17 to October 2. The nationwide initiative will also be observed across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, led by the presence of Member of Parliament Bishnu Pada Ray and BJP State President Anil Kumar Tiwari.

The campaign has been designed as a community-centered observance, bringing together public service, awareness, and inclusivity. Across the islands, BJP workers and volunteers are preparing to organize a series of welfare and outreach activities, from health camps to cultural programs, aiming to reach communities at the grassroots level.

Among the activities planned are blood donation camps, general health check-up drives, and cleanliness campaigns. These efforts are aimed at addressing both immediate community needs and broader social awareness. Tree plantation drives have also been included in the program to highlight environmental sustainability and promote public responsibility toward green spaces in the islands.

To ensure wider reach, the campaign will also conduct district and mandal-level workshops for BJP workers. The objective of these sessions is to streamline coordination, enhance the effectiveness of service initiatives, and build organizational capacity at the local level. Party leaders have emphasized that the fortnight-long observance will combine community service with citizen engagement, ensuring that the campaign has a visible and lasting impact.

One of the central highlights of the Andaman observance is the ‘Namo Yuva Run’, a five-kilometer marathon scheduled for September 21. Beginning at 6 a.m. from the historic Cellular Jail, the run will conclude at the ITF Ground. The marathon will carry cash prizes of ₹11,000, ₹7,500, and ₹5,000 for the top three finishers. To encourage mass participation, marathon kits will be provided to every runner, including a customized T-shirt designed specifically for the occasion. Participants will also receive medals and certificates as tokens of recognition.

Registration for the event will be facilitated through a scan-and-fill online process, with details set to be shared on BJP’s official social media platforms. The simplified registration system aims to maximize accessibility and attract runners from diverse age groups, with a particular emphasis on youth involvement.

Beyond sports and fitness, the campaign includes initiatives under the ‘Vocal for Local’ program. These activities will spotlight local artisans and encourage communities to embrace indigenous products. The effort is being positioned as both a cultural revival and an economic support mechanism for local craftsmen and small businesses.

The observance also incorporates inclusivity programs, such as felicitation events for persons with disabilities. Organizers have said that recognizing the contributions of differently abled citizens is central to the campaign’s ethos of equality and collective progress.

Cultural programs form another layer of the schedule. Screenings of the documentary “Narendra Modi, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” are planned to highlight the Prime Minister’s message of environmental responsibility. Exhibitions tracing his life journey, political career, and developmental vision will also be displayed, offering citizens insights into his leadership.

By combining public service, youth engagement, environmental drives, and cultural showcases, Seva Pakhwada 2025 aims to go beyond a symbolic celebration. Instead, the two-week observance is positioned as a comprehensive initiative that delivers tangible welfare outcomes while strengthening community bonds.

In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, organizers are expecting notable participation, especially in the youth-centered marathon and grassroots workshops. With a blend of service activities and inclusive programs, the campaign is being framed as one of the most expansive outreach efforts in the islands this year, reinforcing the connection between political leadership and community service.
