JNRM Directs Students to Collect Hall Tickets Early for Upcoming University Exams

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 26:  Students enrolled under various programmes affiliated with Pondicherry University have been directed to collect their hall tickets in advance as the May/June Examination-2026 schedule is set to commence later this week.

According to a press release issued on Sunday, examinations for NEP students will begin from May 29, while postgraduate examinations are scheduled to commence from June 1. Examinations for CBCS students will begin from June 3.

Authorities have instructed all students to collect their respective hall tickets from the Admission and Examination Wing at the Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya campus, specifically from Room No. 406, at least two days prior to the commencement of their examinations.

The advisory has been issued to avoid last-minute inconvenience and ensure smooth conduct of the examination process across streams and semesters.

Officials stated that timely collection of hall tickets is mandatory for appearing in the examinations and students have been urged not to delay the process. The hall ticket remains an essential document for entry into examination halls and verification during the conduct of exams.

Students have also been informed that the detailed examination timetable is available on the official website of Pondicherry University. The online schedule includes separate timetables for undergraduate and postgraduate examinations under different academic frameworks.

The upcoming examination cycle is expected to involve a large number of students from affiliated colleges across the islands, including those pursuing programmes under the National Education Policy (NEP) structure as well as conventional CBCS formats.

Educational institutions in the islands have simultaneously intensified preparations for the examination season, with departments coordinating internal assessments, attendance verification and administrative formalities.

The May/June examination schedule assumes significance for final-year students awaiting completion of academic requirements as well as those preparing for admissions and career opportunities dependent on examination outcomes.

College authorities have advised students to regularly check official notices and verify their examination schedules carefully to avoid confusion regarding subject papers, timings and venues.

Students have also been urged to adhere to examination guidelines and reporting times issued by the university and the college administration.

The examination process is being conducted as part of the academic calendar prescribed by Pondicherry University for the 2025–26 session. Authorities said necessary arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of examinations at designated centres.

With examinations approaching, campuses across the islands have witnessed increased academic activity, as students prepare for semester-end assessments under multiple streams and programmes affiliated with the university.
