APWD Directed to Expedite Hostel Construction at PM SHRI JNV Panchawati After Inspection

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 12:  The pace of hostel construction and the condition of existing accommodation at PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchawati, came under review during an inspection visit by an official team on September 10, with authorities directing the executing agency to complete the ongoing work at the earliest.

The team, led by Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, Dipanshu Vohra, DANICS, inspected the construction of the boys’ and girls’ hostel buildings and assessed the progress of the ongoing work. Officials also discussed the expected completion timeline with the engineering authorities concerned.

The inspection also covered the school’s existing boys’ and girls’ hostel facilities, where the team reviewed the living conditions of students and assessed the availability of essential basic amenities and facilities.

Executive Engineer, APWD, Rangat, was directed during the visit to coordinate with the contractor and ensure early completion of the hostel buildings. The direction focused on providing students with safe and adequate accommodation with the necessary facilities.

The inspection team included Pramukh Sita Majhi, Executive Engineer, APWD, R. Madhavan, Zilla Parishad Member, Nimbutala, and Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram.

The team also held discussions with the Vice-Principal of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchawati, on issues and requirements concerning the institution and its students.

The visit brought together the assessment of ongoing construction and existing hostel facilities, with the officials examining both the progress of new accommodation and the conditions in which students are currently housed.

The inspection centred on hostel infrastructure and student facilities at the school. The direction to the APWD Executive Engineer placed emphasis on coordination with the contractor to expedite the ongoing construction, while the assessment of existing hostels addressed the availability of basic amenities.

The official visit also provided an opportunity for the team to discuss other institutional requirements with the school’s Vice-Principal. The exercise was aimed at reviewing the infrastructure and facilities available to students and addressing the school’s requirements on priority.
