PM Modi to Engage with 3,000 Youth at Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue Finale

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate today in the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day.

The closing session will feature a direct interaction between the Prime Minister and nearly 3,000 young participants, including youth representatives from overseas. The event marks the culmination of four days of deliberations involving young leaders from across the country who have engaged in discussions on issues of national importance.

During the session, selected participants will present their final recommendations before the Prime Minister across ten key thematic areas, including youth education, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, social development and governance. The presentations aim to offer actionable ideas aligned with the vision of a developed India.

Ahead of the interaction, Modi shared a message on social media platform X, expressing enthusiasm about engaging with young leaders. “Our youth, filled with incredible enthusiasm and unmatched passion, are committed to building a strong and prosperous nation,” he wrote, adding that he looked forward to interacting with participants at the dialogue today.

The Prime Minister has consistently described India’s youth as a key driver of national progress, highlighting their energy, innovation and commitment. According to officials associated with the programme, the dialogue is intended to serve as a platform for young leaders from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, articulate aspirations and contribute to the long-term development vision of the country.

Union Minister of Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya also welcomed the participants, sharing a post on X as youth delegates arrived in the capital. “Sashakt Yuva, Viksit Bharat! Three thousand energetic youth from across the country have reached Delhi for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue,” he stated. Mandaviya added that the participants, inspired by India’s cultural heritage, are prepared to present their ideas for a developed nation before the Prime Minister.

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, held from January 9 to 12, builds on the success of its inaugural edition and introduces new initiatives such as ‘Design for Bharat’ and ‘Tech for Viksit Bharat’. These additions have expanded the scope of discussions to include technology-led solutions and innovation-driven development.

Officials said the participation of the Indian youth diaspora has added a global perspective to the discussions, enriching debates with international insights and experiences.

Concluding on National Youth Day, the dialogue seeks to move beyond a consultative exercise and evolve into a sustained movement, encouraging young Indians to take leadership roles, address national challenges and actively contribute to nation-building.
