30-Year-Old Man Reported Missing After Arrival at Haddo Wharf

Date:

Authorities in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have launched a search for a 30-year-old man from Haryana who has been missing since May 23, 2025. The individual, identified as Prashant, son of Ashok Kumar and resident of Rohtak, Haryana was last seen disembarking from M.V. Sindhu at Haddo Wharf. His whereabouts remain unknown since then.

A missing report was formally registered at Police Station Chatham on June 12, after preliminary enquiries suggested that Prashant may have left home due to financial difficulties. Investigators believe he might be deliberately keeping a low profile and concealing his identity.

According to the description provided by the police, Prashant is 5 feet 8 inches tall, of slim build, and has a long-shaped face.

Authorities have appealed to the general public for assistance in tracing the missing individual. Any credible information can be shared through emergency numbers 112/100 or directly at 236641, 258019, and 224934. Police have assured that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.

The case has drawn attention as missing person incidents involving inter-island passengers highlight the challenges of tracking individuals in the archipelago, where movement between islands often remains difficult to monitor.

Officials reiterated their appeal for cooperation from residents and visitors, noting that timely tips could be crucial in reuniting the missing man with his family.
