Candidates for Andaman Health Service Posts Must Verify Certificates on Dec 26

Date:

The Directorate of Health Services has scheduled the verification of certificates and testimonials for candidates who have submitted their willingness for appointment to various posts under the Andaman and Nicobar Health Services. The verification process will be conducted on December 26, 2025, at the conference hall of the Directorate of Health Services in Sri Vijaya Puram.

The exercise relates to candidates who have been issued offers of appointment dated November 11, 2025, and have expressed their willingness to join posts including Head Worker for Malaria and Filaria, Surveillance Worker, Chowkidar, Ward Attendant, Ayah and Safaiwala. Health department officials said the verification process is a mandatory step before final appointment and is intended to confirm the authenticity of documents submitted by candidates during the recruitment process.

According to the notification, candidates are required to produce original certificates and testimonials for verification on the scheduled date. The process is aimed at ensuring compliance with recruitment norms and maintaining transparency and accountability in appointments to public service posts. Officials said that document verification forms a critical part of recruitment, particularly for positions linked to public health services.

The Directorate has made the schedule for certificate verification available on the official website of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Candidates have been advised to check the schedule carefully to confirm their reporting time and any additional instructions related to the verification process. Making the information available online is intended to ensure timely communication and reduce confusion among candidates.

Health authorities have clearly stated that failure to present original certificates and testimonials for verification will result in the candidate’s selection not being considered for appointment. The department has also indicated that no further communication will be entertained in such cases, underscoring the finality of the verification requirement.

Officials associated with the recruitment process said the strict adherence to verification procedures is necessary to uphold the integrity of the selection process. The posts for which verification is being conducted are considered essential support roles within the health system, contributing to disease surveillance, patient care and maintenance of healthcare facilities.

The verification process is expected to be conducted in an orderly manner, with candidates appearing before designated officials for scrutiny of documents. Health department sources said arrangements have been made to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise, given the number of candidates involved and the range of posts covered.

Candidates have been advised to carry all required original documents, including educational certificates, proof of age, caste certificates where applicable and any other testimonials specified in the offer of appointment. Officials cautioned that incomplete documentation could lead to disqualification at the verification stage.

The recruitment drive for these posts forms part of broader efforts to strengthen human resources within the health services of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Support staff play a key role in the functioning of healthcare facilities, disease control programmes and sanitation services, making timely appointments critical for service delivery.

Health department officials reiterated that candidates must adhere strictly to the verification schedule and instructions issued. The department’s stance reflects an emphasis on procedural compliance as a prerequisite for appointment, with the December 26 verification exercise marking a decisive step in finalising the recruitment process.
