Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, August 8: Hindu Rashtra Shakti has appealed to its members, supporters and citizens to participate in a Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra scheduled for August 10, with the procession set to begin at the Cellular Jail and conclude at the Gandhi Statue.

The organisation has announced that the yatra will start at 3:30 p.m. on August 10, 2026. Participants have been asked to assemble at the Cellular Jail by the scheduled time and carry the national flag during the programme.

According to the organisation, the event aims to promote respect for the Tiranga, national unity, patriotism and a sense of attachment to the country. It has urged citizens to participate in large numbers in the procession.

The choice of the Cellular Jail as the starting point has been highlighted by the organisation in view of its association with India’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. HRS said the programme would seek to honour those who gave their lives for the country’s freedom.

The organisation also said the yatra would encourage citizens, particularly young people, to uphold the values of national unity and patriotism.

Hindu Rashtra Shakti State President Rakeshwar Lall has appealed to members and citizens of Sri Vijaya Puram to take part in the programme and contribute to what the organisation described as a meaningful tribute to the national flag.

The procession will move from the Cellular Jail towards the Gandhi Statue after participants assemble at the starting point.

The organisers have asked participants to maintain discipline and dignity throughout the programme. The appeal is directed towards members of the organisation as well as other citizens who wish to participate in the Tiranga Yatra.

The event is being organised under the Har Ghar Tiranga theme, with the organisers placing the national flag and the values associated with it at the centre of the programme.

Participants have been specifically requested to reach the Cellular Jail by 3:30 p.m. on August 10 and join the procession carrying the Tiranga.
