Forest Ranger Exam Candidates Await Answer Keys Release

Date:

The Department of Environment and Forests of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration has announced the schedule for the release of answer keys for the written examination conducted for the recruitment of Forest Rangers. The written examination, held over multiple days from December 28, 2025 to January 4, 2026, was part of the ongoing recruitment process aimed at filling Forest Ranger positions under the department.

According to the official information issued, the answer keys for the examination will be uploaded online on January 16, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination have been advised to access the answer keys through the designated recruitment portal of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. The online release is expected to provide transparency in the evaluation process and allow candidates to assess their performance before the finalisation of results.

To access the answer keys, candidates have been instructed to log in to the recruitment portal by clicking on the “Candidate Corner” section. Applicants are required to use their registration number and password to access their dashboard and select the “Answer keys” option. The department has clarified that the answer keys will be made available only through the official portal.

The department has also provided a mechanism for candidates to raise objections or report discrepancies, if any, in the answer keys. Candidates who wish to submit objections have been advised to send their observations through email, along with relevant supporting documents or materials. The email address designated for this purpose has been notified by the department.

The window for submitting objections will remain open until January 23, 2026, up to midnight. Officials have made it clear that objections or discrepancies submitted after the stipulated deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances. This time-bound process is intended to ensure timely scrutiny of objections without delaying the overall recruitment timeline.

It has further been specified that only responses received through the notified email channel will be examined by the department. Submissions through any other mode will not be considered. Candidates have therefore been advised to ensure that their objections are clearly articulated, supported by relevant references, and submitted within the prescribed time frame.

The written examination for Forest Ranger recruitment was conducted over an extended period to accommodate multiple papers and candidates. The release of answer keys marks an important stage in the recruitment process, allowing candidates to verify responses and seek clarifications before the preparation of final merit lists.

Recruitment to posts under the Environment and Forests Department is closely watched, given the department’s role in forest protection, wildlife management and conservation-related responsibilities in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Forest Ranger cadre plays a key role in field-level enforcement and implementation of forest and wildlife regulations.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official recruitment portal for updates related to the examination process, including further notifications regarding evaluation and results. The department has reiterated that adherence to the notified procedure and timelines is essential for consideration of objections.

The release of the answer keys and the provision for objections form part of the standard recruitment process aimed at maintaining fairness, accuracy and transparency. With the objection window closing on January 23, the department is expected to proceed with the next stages of evaluation thereafter.
