Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 3: Issues affecting forest labour workers, including service-related grievances and employee welfare, were taken up during a meeting of the office bearers and executive members of the Forest Labour Union (FLU) held at Mill Division, Chatham, on Friday. The meeting also reviewed the Union’s financial accounts, with office bearers presenting the books of accounts and closing balance before members as part of measures aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the organisation’s functioning.
The meeting was chaired by T.S.G. Bhasker, President of the Forest Labour Union, and focused on matters concerning the welfare and interests of forest labour workers. Participants held detailed discussions on issues related to employees’ service conditions and deliberated on measures intended to safeguard the interests of workers.
Addressing the gathering, T.S.G. Bhasker said the Union would continue to pursue the welfare of forest labour workers and would take up their genuine demands with the concerned authorities.
As part of the proceedings, the Union placed its books of accounts and closing balance before all office bearers and executive members. The financial details were disclosed during the meeting to maintain transparency and accountability in the Union’s administration.

Kannan, General Secretary; T. Mohan Rao, General Secretary; P. Ganapathy, Secretary; C. Venkat Ramana, Secretary; M. Rammurthy, Secretary; Siddapa Reddy Kumar, Joint Secretary; Santosh Ch. Majhi, Joint Secretary; P. Mohammed, Organising Secretary; and Pottaiah, Treasurer.
The discussions concluded with the Union reiterating its commitment to pursuing issues concerning forest labour workers and continuing its engagement with the authorities on matters relating to employees’ welfare and service-related concerns.
