Fire Guts House at Shadipur Junction, Family Left Homeless

Date:

A devastating fire triggered by an electrical fault destroyed a residential house at Shadipur Junction on Wednesday night, leaving a family homeless and without basic necessities.

The incident occurred around 8 pm at the house where Nazima Bibi and Shakti lived with their five-year-old child. According to preliminary information, the fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit and rapidly spread through the structure, giving the occupants little time to salvage any belongings. By the time the flames were brought under control, the house had been completely gutted.

All household possessions were reduced to ashes in the blaze. This included clothes belonging to the couple and their child, household furniture, cupboards and almirahs, kitchen utensils, beds, and electronic appliances such as a television and refrigerator. No casualties were reported, but the family lost everything they owned in the incident.

Local residents stepped in to provide immediate assistance, arranging temporary shelter for the family for the night. However, the long-term situation remains uncertain. The couple, both employed in a private company on modest wages, are now struggling to cope with the sudden loss of their home and belongings. With no alternative accommodation and essential items destroyed, the family is facing severe hardship.

The fire has once again highlighted concerns over electrical safety in densely populated residential areas, particularly in older structures where wiring systems may not meet current safety standards. Residents of the area said such incidents underline the need for regular inspection of electrical connections to prevent similar tragedies.

Authorities are expected to assess the damage and verify the cause of the fire. Local administration officials may also evaluate the family’s situation to determine whether any relief or rehabilitation support can be extended under existing norms for fire-affected households.

Meanwhile, the incident has cast a spotlight on the vulnerability of low-income families to sudden disasters, where a single mishap can wipe out years of savings and stability. As the family begins the difficult process of rebuilding their lives, the community at Shadipur Junction remains shaken by the scale of the loss and the reminder of how quickly disaster can strike.
