Sri Vijaya Puram, May 9:The Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) has informed the general public that the previously announced sailing schedules of several passenger vessels have been revised due to administrative reasons.
According to the revised schedule, MV Kalighat will sail in place of MV Bharat Seema for the Campbell Bay sector.
The vessel will depart from Sri Vijaya Puram on May 14, 2026 at 7 a.m. for Campbell Bay via Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal, Nancowry, Makachua and Afra Bay.

The return voyage will commence from Campbell Bay on May 18, 2026 at 5 a.m. through the same route back to Sri Vijaya Puram.
In another revision, MV Bharat Seema will now sail for Diglipur via Mayabunder on May 16, 2026 at 8 p.m. instead of the previously scheduled departure time of 6:30 p.m. from Haddo Wharf.
The vessel will subsequently sail back to Sri Vijaya Puram from Diglipur on May 17, 2026 at 2 p.m. through the same route.
The Directorate further informed that MV Kalighat will also operate in place of MV Sentinel on another Campbell Bay sailing scheduled later in the month.
Under the revised arrangement, MV Kalighat will depart from Sri Vijaya Puram on May 27, 2026 at 7 a.m. for Campbell Bay via Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal and Nancowry.
The return voyage from Campbell Bay is scheduled for May 30, 2026 at 12 noon through the same route.
Officials have requested passengers and commuters travelling on the affected sectors to take note of the revised timings and vessel changes while planning their journeys.
The Directorate stated that the revised schedules have been issued in view of administrative requirements and operational adjustments.
Passengers have also been advised to regularly check official announcements issued by the Directorate of Shipping Services for any further updates or modifications in sailing schedules.
The inter-island shipping network remains a critical transport lifeline in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, connecting remote islands and facilitating movement of passengers, essential supplies and commercial goods.
