Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 29: The State Transport Services (STS) is operating a daily AC Deluxe bus between Sri Vijaya Puram and Middle Strait/Baratang, providing scheduled road connectivity for the travelling public and visitors heading towards the tourist destination and its attractions, including the Mud Volcano and Limestone Caves.
The service leaves Sri Vijaya Puram at 4 am and reaches Middle Strait at about 7.30 am, giving passengers a scheduled morning connection to the area. The return journey departs from Middle Strait at 3 pm as part of the last convoy and is scheduled to reach Sri Vijaya Puram at approximately 6 pm.
The service is being operated with an AC Deluxe bus equipped with 15 deluxe seats. The daily schedule provides a designated transport option for passengers travelling towards Middle Strait and Baratang, where the Mud Volcano and Limestone Caves are among the attractions identified for visitors.
Passengers can also book tickets in advance through the ATS Portal of ATR Ticketing. The portal allows bookings up to 10 days before the journey date, enabling travellers to secure seats ahead of their planned trip.
The service connects the administrative centre at Sri Vijaya Puram with Middle Strait through a fixed daily schedule, with the return journey aligned with the last convoy from Middle Strait. This makes the departure and return timings particularly relevant for passengers planning a same-day journey.
STS has said the service is intended for tourists, visitors and the general travelling public heading towards Middle Strait and Baratang. Passengers planning to travel to the area can use the advance online booking facility available through the ticketing portal.
