MP Bishnu Pada Ray Visits Nayagaon, Assures Residents of Action on Local Issues

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 2: Member of Parliament for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bishnu Pada Ray, visited Ward No. 12 of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Corporation (SVPMC) at Nayagaon Fishermen Colony Road on September 1 and interacted with residents over a range of local issues, including the demand for a proper graveyard and a water storage tank for domestic use.

The MP was accompanied during the visit by R. Vinod, State Vice President, BJP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands; K. Paramasivam, State Secretary, BJP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands; and Rakeshwar Lall, State Executive Member, BJP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

During the interaction, residents raised the issue of the graveyard in the area and sought a proper graveyard facility for the local community.

The demand was placed before the MP during his interaction with residents, who explained the need for an appropriate facility to serve the local community.

Bishnu Pada Ray assured the residents that he would take steps to address the issue. He also stated that the work could be supported by him and the government.

The availability of water was another issue raised by residents during the visit. The community sought a water storage tank for domestic use, explaining that such a facility would help them store water and improve water availability for households in the area.

The MP heard the concerns raised by the residents and assured them that he would take up the issues with the concerned authorities and make efforts towards their resolution.

The visit provided residents an opportunity to directly raise their concerns regarding basic local infrastructure and community facilities.

The graveyard demand and requirement for additional water storage were among the issues specifically discussed during the interaction. The residents sought intervention to address the lack of adequate facilities and improve access to essential infrastructure in the locality.

On the graveyard issue, the MP assured residents that he would take steps towards addressing their demand and indicated that government support could also be involved in the work.

On the water-related concern, the proposed storage tank was highlighted as a requirement for domestic use. Residents said that the facility would help them store water and improve availability for the community.

Bishnu Pada Ray’s assurance included taking up the concerns with the relevant authorities. No specific timeline or details of a sanctioned project were stated during the visit.

The interaction was focused on local civic and community requirements in Ward No. 12, with residents bringing their concerns directly before their elected representative.

The residents subsequently thanked the MP for visiting the area and listening to their concerns.

The visit comes as part of local interaction between the MP and residents, with the discussions centred on community infrastructure and basic civic requirements in Nayagaon Fishermen Colony.

The issues raised during the visit will now require coordination with the concerned authorities for further consideration and possible action. The MP has assured residents that he will take up both the graveyard and water storage concerns with the authorities and make efforts to resolve them.
