Sri Vijaya Puram, June 18: The Department of Tourism will host a ‘Beach Yoga Festival’ on June 21 themed ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’. Sessions will be held simultaneously across key beaches in collaboration with local authorities and AYUSH. This initiative is part of a larger campaign to promote wellness, environmental awareness, and tourism in the islands.
Competitions and Expert Talks Planned
At Corbyn’s Cove, additional yoga competitions will be held. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats and arrive on time. Details for each beach location and AYUSH coordinators have been released by the Department. Talks will also cover the links between climate change and holistic health, and are expected to draw large crowds, including tourists, students, and wellness practitioners.
