The Police Station Anti-Corruption Unit has introduced a dedicated helpline number, 9531822221, to facilitate direct public reporting of corruption and strengthen transparency and accountability mechanisms.
The newly launched helpline allows citizens to report complaints through both voice calls and WhatsApp messaging, providing a single access point for communication. Officials stated that the platform enables users to share information in multiple formats, including text messages, images, documents, and other relevant evidence, aimed at simplifying the reporting process.
The initiative is designed to make complaint registration more accessible and immediate by offering a user-friendly interface that supports real-time interaction. By integrating calling and messaging services into one channel, the Anti-Corruption Unit aims to improve responsiveness and encourage wider public participation in reporting corrupt practices.

Authorities have urged citizens to actively use the helpline to report instances of corruption and contribute to efforts focused on promoting integrity in public systems. The move is positioned as part of a broader approach to enhance public engagement and ensure that complaints can be lodged without procedural barriers.
In addition to the helpline, existing communication channels remain operational for filing complaints. Citizens can also reach the Anti-Corruption Unit through landline numbers 03192-240840 and 03192-244698. Email-based reporting is available through spac.and@nic.in and dyspac.and@nic.in, providing alternative options for those who prefer written submissions.
Officials indicated that the introduction of a dedicated helpline consolidates multiple reporting methods into a streamlined system, allowing for quicker transmission of information and supporting the documentation of evidence in digital formats. The inclusion of WhatsApp-based reporting is expected to improve ease of use, particularly for users who prefer mobile-based communication.

The Anti-Corruption Unit emphasised that the helpline is intended to act as a direct link between citizens and enforcement authorities, enabling prompt reporting and follow-up. The initiative reflects an administrative focus on strengthening mechanisms that support accountability and transparency in governance.
By expanding access points and simplifying complaint procedures, the unit aims to increase reporting rates and improve the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts. Authorities reiterated that citizen participation remains central to identifying and addressing instances of corruption.
The helpline is now operational, and citizens have been encouraged to utilise the service for reporting concerns and sharing information relevant to corruption-related activities.
