Sri Vijaya Puram, July 20: A Class VII student from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Lamba Line, Sri Vijaya Puram has secured the first rank in the East Zone in the Class VI category of the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) National Level Examination, marking a significant achievement for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the national science talent competition.
Master Hardik Chakravarty achieved the distinction after competing in the National Level Examination held at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar on May 16 and 17, 2026. His performance earned him the title of Zonal Winner (East Zone) in the Class VI category.
The achievement followed successive qualification at multiple stages of the competition. Hardik first cleared the school-level and district-level online Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan examinations before securing the second rank in the State Level Examination conducted on December 21, 2025, at MGI School, Brookshabad. His state-level performance qualified him for the national-level competition.
As the East Zone winner, Hardik has been awarded a memento, a Certificate of Merit and a cash prize in recognition of his performance in the national examination.
The achievement has also earned him selection for the SRIJAN Internship 2026, which will be conducted at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, from July 27 to August 1, 2026.
According to the information released by the school, the internship will provide participants with opportunities to visit premier national research institutions and interact with eminent scientists and academicians. The programme is aimed at encouraging scientific curiosity, innovation and exposure to advanced research environments among young students.
Hardik is currently studying in Class VII at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Lamba Line, Sri Vijaya Puram. His performance in the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan competition reflects consistent success at every stage of the examination, culminating in the national-level recognition and selection for the prestigious internship programme.
