Government Accommodation Allotment Under the General Pool

Date:

The Housing and Estate Department of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration has released the provisional seniority list for government accommodation allotment under the General Pool for the 2025-2026 session. The list, prepared on the basis of online applications submitted by government servants and verified by their respective DDOs and HOOs, has been uploaded to the official AAGA portal.

Eligible applicants can now access the type-wise and category-wise seniority list by visiting the homepage of https://aaga.andaman.gov.in. According to the department’s notification, applicants who wish to raise any objections or submit claims related to their listed seniority must do so by July 2, 2025, no later than 5 PM. These representations must be routed through the concerned DDOs or HOOs and addressed to the Assistant Secretary (H&E) at the Secretariat.

The provisional list will be deemed final if no claims or objections are received by the deadline, the department clarified. The online application window for the current session had been opened following the circular issued on May 15, 2024, under reference No. 1-167/2021/H&E/Vol-VI.

This annual allotment exercise is critical for managing official residential facilities available under the General Pool, particularly in administrative hubs like Sri Vijaya Puram. Once finalised, the seniority list will determine the eligibility and prioritisation of applicants for the limited number of government quarters across various categories.

Government employees who have applied are advised to verify the details as uploaded and ensure timely submission of any concerns, as the process will directly affect accommodation allocation. The administration has reiterated the importance of departmental verification to avoid discrepancies and ensure a transparent allotment process.

The department also cautioned that no further changes or appeals will be entertained after the finalisation date, thereby urging employees to make full use of the provisional window. The seniority list remains one of the key components in the bureaucratic machinery that governs government accommodation across departments in the Union Territory.
