Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), April 17: A Civil Services Examination achiever from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands was felicitated at the Police Headquarters in Atlanta Point after securing an All India Rank of 743 in the 2025 examination, with officials highlighting the accomplishment as a milestone for the region’s youth.
Director General of Police Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal honoured Shiyad during a formal event, presenting him with a memento in recognition of his performance in one of the country’s most competitive examinations.
Addressing the gathering, the DGP commended the candidate’s dedication, perseverance and sustained effort, noting that the achievement reflects the growing academic potential emerging from the islands. He said such success stories bring recognition to the region and reinforce the capability of local aspirants to compete at the national level.
Dhaliwal also emphasised that achievements of this scale serve as a source of motivation for students and job aspirants across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
