ANCOL Extends Deadline for Guest Faculty Applications

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 18: The Andaman College (ANCOL) has extended the deadline for applications to guest faculty positions across a wide range of disciplines for the academic year 2025–2026. The revised last date for submission is 3:30 pm on June 30, 2025. The extension comes as part of the college’s initiative to attract qualified candidates to support a growing and diversified curriculum.

The college is inviting applications from eligible candidates to teach various undergraduate courses including B.Com (General), B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship), B.A. (Economics, English, Sociology), B.Sc. (Psychology), B.B.A. (Business Administration), B.P.A. (Hindustani Vocal and Instrumentation), as well as foundational subjects such as Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and Digital Technologies. Emerging areas like Herbal Nutrition, Environmental Studies, Yoga and Wellness, and Science in Everyday Life are also part of the hiring list.

Temporary Roles With Structured Remuneration

The guest lecturers or resource persons selected will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 per month, aligned with UGC norms. The appointments are purely temporary and will be made on an “as and when required” basis depending on the teaching workload.

Interested candidates can download the detailed notification, application format, and self-marking proforma from the official ANCOL website (https://ancol.andaman.gov.in). Duly filled forms with self-attested documents are to be submitted at the college office by the stipulated deadline.

Applicants who had applied under the previous advertisement need not reapply. The move is expected to provide ANCOL with a broader pool of qualified applicants and enable academic flexibility.
