Wings India 2026 to Showcase Global Aviation Future in Hyderabad

The government will host Wings India 2026, billed as Asia’s largest civil aviation event, at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31, bringing together global aviation leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of the sector.

The four-day event will be inaugurated by Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu and is expected to see participation from ministerial-level foreign delegations, senior government officials and official delegations from more than 20 countries. The gathering is aimed at strengthening international cooperation and collaboration in civil aviation, according to an official statement issued on Saturday.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation said Wings India 2026 will serve as a platform to highlight India’s rapidly expanding aviation ecosystem, its growing global footprint and its ambition to emerge as a major hub for aviation manufacturing, services, innovation and sustainable solutions. The event is positioned as a key interface between governments and the global aviation industry at a time when air travel demand and infrastructure development are accelerating worldwide.

An expansive international exhibition will form the core of the event, featuring participation from domestic and international stakeholders across the aviation value chain. These include airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturers, maintenance, repair and overhaul companies, airport developers, original equipment manufacturers, technology providers, training institutions and service partners.

The programme will include static aircraft displays, flying displays and aerobatic air shows, showcasing a wide range of civil and defence aircraft. Among the major attractions will be aerial performances by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force, expected to draw significant public and industry attention.

In addition to exhibitions and flying displays, Wings India 2026 will host a high-level international conference featuring 13 thematic sessions focused on emerging trends, policy frameworks and growth opportunities in global civil aviation. The conference agenda also includes a Global CEOs Forum and a Ministerial Plenary, offering a platform for dialogue between industry leaders and policymakers on strategic and regulatory issues.

Business engagement is a key component of the event, with dedicated spaces for business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, enabling networking, partnerships and investment discussions. CEO roundtables, an aviation job fair and an awards ceremony are also part of the programme, reflecting the event’s emphasis on industry development, talent creation and innovation.

According to the ministry, Wings India 2026 is designed as a convergence point for policymakers, investors, innovators and industry leaders to deliberate on collaborative pathways shaping the future of civil aviation in India and globally. The inclusion of cultural programmes alongside technical and business sessions is intended to project India’s soft power and its growing role in the global aviation landscape.

With international participation and a comprehensive agenda, the event is expected to reinforce India’s positioning as a key player in global civil aviation and a destination for investment and collaboration in the sector.
