Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom’ to Hit Theatres Worldwide on July 31

After weeks of speculation, it’s now official: Vijay Deverakonda’s much-awaited action film ‘Kingdom’ will hit cinema halls worldwide on July 31. The movie, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, promises to be a gripping action-drama set against a backdrop of power, betrayal, and redemption.

The announcement was accompanied by a high-energy promo that showcases Deverakonda in a rugged, intense avatar. He’s first seen in a police uniform, disciplined and composed, before transforming into a rebel leader who takes matters into his own hands. The teaser is packed with high-octane sequences that hint at both a personal vendetta and a broader social conflict.

The delays that haunted the film’s earlier release schedule were attributed to post-production changes and the national mood following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. With Operation Sindoor dominating headlines, the makers chose to delay the release first from May 30 and then again from July 4.

Now, with a fresh launch strategy and an emotional social media push, the film is building buzz across platforms. Deverakonda wrote on Instagram, “#KINGDOM July 31st. Worldwide. Let our destinies unfold,” tagging director Gowtam and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

Anirudh, known for crafting chartbusters, has scored the music for the film. With Navin Nooli on editing and Neeraja Kona on costumes, the technical crew brings some of Telugu cinema’s best talent together.

Bankrolled by Sitara Entertainments and Fortune 4 Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios, the film also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in key roles. The stunt choreography has been handled by Yannick Ben, Chethan D’Souza, and Real Satish, ensuring a mix of gritty realism and cinematic spectacle.

The plot of ‘Kingdom’ remains tightly under wraps, but early buzz suggests it will touch on themes of justice, vengeance, and public accountability, reminiscent of socially rooted thrillers with a mass appeal twist. For fans of Deverakonda, who last appeared in ‘Kushi’ and ‘Liger’, ‘Kingdom’ represents a return to form and intensity.

As the countdown begins, cinema chains and ticketing platforms are expected to open advance bookings in mid-July. With a pan-India rollout in multiple languages, ‘Kingdom’ could emerge as one of the year’s defining action entertainers.
