Tushnabad PHC Hosts Specialist Camp, Provides Consultations to Over 50 Patients

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, October 16:  A specialist health camp at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Tushnabad provided consultations to more than 50 patients, offering access to gynaecology, dermatology and ear, nose and throat (ENT) services through a collaboration between Sri Vijaya Puram Guru Ki Rasoi (PBGKR) and Health 4U Multi Speciality Clinic.

The camp brought three specialists to the local health facility: gynaecologist Sornalatha, dermatologist Megha Kakani and ENT specialist Gayatri. They examined patients and provided medical guidance across their respective fields.

The initiative aimed to make specialist consultations more accessible to Tushnabad residents who may face difficulties travelling to obtain care in different medical specialities.

PBGKR founder and president Mandeep Grewal acknowledged the support of the Directorate of Health Services, the medical officer at PHC Tushnabad and the Tushnabad pradhan in facilitating the camp.

He also thanked the Health 4U Multi Speciality Clinic team and the participating doctors for providing their services to local residents.

The organisers said they would continue working with healthcare professionals and government health facilities to improve access to medical services across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The next specialist health camp is scheduled for October 22 at PHC Bambooflat, as the organisation continues its efforts to extend specialist consultations to communities across the islands.
