Sri Vijaya Puram, June18: BJP National Spokesperson and author Tuhin A. Sinha is set to participate in the Andaman Ideas Summit 2026, where he is expected to contribute to discussions on national security, strategic infrastructure, maritime geopolitics and India’s long-term development vision.
The conclave, scheduled to be held on June 20 in Sri Vijaya Puram, is expected to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, strategic experts, academics and public figures to deliberate on issues shaping the future of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and India’s maritime aspirations.
Organisers said Sinha’s participation is expected to add a national perspective to discussions surrounding strategic infrastructure development, India’s security priorities and the evolving geopolitical significance of the Indo-Pacific region.
Over the years, Sinha has emerged as one of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s prominent national voices, regularly participating in public debates and discussions on governance, national security, foreign policy and strategic affairs.

Known for his extensive media engagements and public commentary, he has often articulated positions relating to India’s geopolitical interests and the country’s role in an increasingly complex global environment.
His presence at the summit comes at a time when strategic discussions surrounding the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have gained greater prominence due to the region’s location along key international sea lanes and its importance within India’s Indo-Pacific framework.
Sinha has been among those who have publicly highlighted the strategic significance of the proposed Great Nicobar infrastructure and development initiatives, arguing that such projects could contribute to India’s maritime capabilities, economic growth and regional influence.
The Andaman Ideas Summit is expected to feature sessions focusing on maritime security, sustainable development, tourism, environmental concerns, infrastructure, governance and emerging opportunities in the island territory.
Organisers believe that bringing together experts from diverse fields can help generate policy ideas and practical recommendations relevant to the future development of the islands.
Apart from his role as a political spokesperson, Sinha is also known for his literary work and has authored several books addressing political, historical and contemporary themes.
His latest publication, Naxal Terror Vanquished, examines India’s efforts to combat Left-Wing Extremism and explores policy and security measures undertaken during recent years.
The book has generated discussion among readers interested in internal security, governance and counter-insurgency strategies.
At the conclave, Sinha is expected to engage in conversations relating to India’s development trajectory, national security priorities and the role of strategic infrastructure in supporting economic and geopolitical objectives.
The event’s agenda is also expected to examine the growing importance of maritime connectivity, port-led development and island territories in advancing India’s broader regional ambitions.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands occupy a strategically significant position near major international shipping routes, making discussions on maritime policy and regional security particularly relevant.
Organisers have indicated that the conclave aims to foster informed dialogue among stakeholders while encouraging the exchange of ideas on issues affecting both the islands and the nation.
With participants expected from multiple sectors, the event seeks to create a platform for meaningful discussions on development, sustainability, governance and strategic planning.
Sinha’s participation is expected to contribute to these deliberations by bringing insights from the fields of public policy, strategic affairs and contemporary political discourse, adding another national voice to the conclave’s growing list of speakers.
