Sri Vijaya Puram, May 19:
The first phase of a large-scale Capacity Building Training Programme for Primary School Teachers in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands kicked off today across three major venues, DIET Garacharma, GSSS Mohanpura, and GMSSS Aberdeen.
A total of 294 teachers are attending the sessions, aimed at enhancing their teaching capabilities in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, particularly focusing on early childhood education, pedagogical innovations, and inclusive classrooms.
The programme is spearheaded by DIET Garacharma in association with the State Institute of Education, and will span six phases to train approximately 1,466 teachers during the summer break.
The training is expected to empower educators with modern tools, methodologies, and reflective practices, ultimately improving learning outcomes and contributing to a future-ready education system.
