SVPMC Intensifies Dues Recovery Drive with Camps in Wards 22 23 And 24

Date:

The Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council has called on residents and commercial establishments within its jurisdiction to clear all pending municipal dues without delay, warning that non-payment may invite action under existing municipal regulations.

The appeal comes as part of an ongoing revenue collection drive being conducted across multiple wards. Officials stated that the initiative is aimed at streamlining dues recovery while providing citizens with accessible payment points within their respective localities.

A scheduled revenue collection camp for Ward No. 22 at the Councillor’s Office in Brichgunj could not be conducted on March 21 due to a public holiday. The council has since revised the schedule and announced fresh dates to ensure that affected residents are given an opportunity to settle their dues.

According to the updated plan, revenue collection camps for Wards 22, 23 and 24 will now be held on March 28 at designated locations. Ward 22 residents can visit the Councillor’s Office in Brichgunj, while Ward 23 residents have been directed to the Prothrapur Site Office of the municipal council. For Ward 24, the camp will be organised at the Junior Engineer’s Office in Garacharma.

Officials have urged citizens in these wards to utilise the rescheduled camps to clear outstanding payments and avoid further complications. The council has reiterated that timely payment of municipal dues is essential for maintaining civic services and administrative functions.

The administration has made it clear that failure to comply may lead to enforcement measures as provided under municipal rules. While no specific penalties were outlined in the notice, authorities indicated that action will be taken against defaulters in accordance with established procedures.

The ongoing camps are part of a broader effort by the municipal council to improve compliance and enhance revenue collection efficiency. By organising ward-level camps, the council aims to reduce barriers for residents and ensure that dues can be settled without procedural delays.

Citizens have been advised to take note of the revised schedule and attend the camps at the specified venues. Authorities emphasised that clearing dues during these drives will help residents avoid inconvenience and ensure uninterrupted access to civic services.

The council continues to monitor the progress of the revenue collection exercise and has urged full public cooperation to complete the process within the stipulated timelines.
