Summer Sports Coaching Camp Begins in Wimberlygunj Zone

The Deputy Education Office, Wimberlygunj, has started a month-long Summer Coaching Camp for students of the Wimberlygunj zone from May 15 to June 15. The camp includes sports activities such as football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. Around 80 students participated in the inaugural session. The programme is intended to encourage student participation in sports and physical activities during the summer vacation period.

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 15: The Deputy Education Office, Wimberlygunj, has commenced a one-month Summer Coaching Camp for school students of the Wimberlygunj zone from May 15 to June 15.

According to officials, the camp includes coaching and practice sessions in sports activities such as football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.

The programme is being conducted for students from schools within the Wimberlygunj zone during the summer vacation period.

Around 80 students registered for the camp and participated in the inaugural session held on Thursday.

Teachers, students and local sports enthusiasts were also present during the opening programme.

Officials stated that the camp is intended to encourage participation in sports and physical activities among students while providing basic coaching and practice opportunities during the vacation period.

The activities are expected to continue over the next one month with regular training sessions scheduled in different sports disciplines.

Manoharan attended the inaugural session as the chief guest.

Biswanath Sen and Abdul Basir were also present during the programme. Apart from sports training, the camp is also expected to promote discipline, coordination and interaction among students from different schools within the Wimberlygunj zone.

The coaching camp will continue till June 15 with regular practice sessions scheduled across the selected sports disciplines. Teachers present during the programme noted that such camps also help students remain engaged in recreational and physical activities during school holidays.

Officials stated that the coaching camp forms part of sports-related student engagement activities being conducted during the vacation period in the education zone.
