The Chief Electoral Officer of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has announced the conduct of special camps at all polling stations across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency to facilitate citizens in submitting claims and objections to the draft electoral roll published on December 23, 2025. The exercise forms part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll ahead of its final publication.
According to the announcement, the period for filing claims and objections began on December 23 and will continue until January 22, 2026. To make the process accessible to voters across the islands, special camps will be organised on December 27 and 28, 2025, and again on January 10 and 11, 2026. These camps are intended to provide on-ground assistance to electors who wish to verify their details or seek changes in the draft roll.
During the special camp days, voters will be able to check whether their names appear correctly in the draft electoral roll and submit applications related to inclusion, correction or objection. Booth Level Officers will be present at polling stations during these camps to assist citizens with the verification process and to accept the required forms. The initiative is aimed at reducing errors and omissions before the roll is finalised.

The draft electoral roll has been made available for public inspection through the Chief Electoral Officer’s website as well as the Election Commission of India’s voter portal. Citizens have been encouraged to use these online platforms to verify their details in advance and approach the special camps or their respective Booth Level Officers if any discrepancies are found.
Prospective electors who have attained the age of 18 years and whose names do not appear in the draft electoral roll can apply for inclusion by submitting Form-6 along with the prescribed declaration form. Applications can be submitted either through the concerned Booth Level Officer or online via the Election Commission of India portal. The declaration form is mandatory for inclusion under the ongoing revision process.
Electors who have shifted residence, require corrections in existing entries, or wish to mark their status as Persons with Disabilities can apply using Form-8. The form is also applicable for updating details such as name, age, address or other particulars already recorded in the electoral roll. Those seeking to object to a proposed inclusion or to request deletion of a name from the roll can submit Form-7 as per the prescribed procedure.
Officials have stated that sufficient numbers of Forms 6, 7 and 8, along with declaration forms, have been made available with Booth Level Officers to ensure that applicants do not face procedural hurdles. The special camps are expected to be particularly helpful for voters in remote and interior areas, where access to online facilities may be limited.

The Special Intensive Revision is a periodic exercise mandated by the Election Commission of India to ensure that electoral rolls remain accurate, inclusive and up to date. The current revision involves verification of entries, correction of errors and inclusion of eligible electors, with an emphasis on transparency and public participation.
For any clarification or assistance during the claims and objections period, electors have been advised to contact their respective Booth Level Officers or call the Voter Helpline Number 1950. The Chief Electoral Officer has reiterated that timely participation by citizens is crucial to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the final electoral roll.
The revision process will continue through the claims and objections phase, followed by hearings where required, before the final electoral roll is published as per the schedule notified by the Election Commission of India. The administration has urged voters to make use of the available window to verify their details and contribute to the accuracy of the electoral roll.
