Rashmika Mandanna Reveals What Her ‘Non-Filming’ Days Look Like

From journaling and dog walks to supernatural thrillers, the actress opens up about her daily routine and her exciting slate of films.

Mumbai, Aug: Actress Rashmika Mandanna, often hailed as the National Crush, recently offered a glimpse into her life away from the spotlight, sharing how she unwinds when she’s not filming.

“On my non-filming days, I try to slow down,” Rashmika told IANS. “My mornings start with journaling. I still write in my diary regularly. It helps me feel present and grateful. I spend time with my dog, maybe go for a walk, catch up on reading or shows I’ve missed.”

Even on off days, the actress remains connected to work. “Sometimes I’m on a brand call or working on Dear Diary, because I’m very hands-on as a founder,” she shared. “But even then, I try to carve out quiet moments with my family, with nature, or just with myself. Those are the moments that refill my cup.”

Rashmika was last seen in Kuberaa, a crime thriller directed by Sekhar Kammula. The film also stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dhanush, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil. It follows the story of a beggar’s dramatic transformation and explores themes of greed, ambition, and redemption.

Up next, she will be seen in The Girlfriend, a Telugu film directed by Rahul Ravindran.

She also stars in Thama, a gripping love story set against a bloody backdrop, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. The story follows a determined historian who uncovers dark secrets about vampire myths as supernatural forces begin to stir. Directed by Muniya fame Aditya Sarpotdar, the film marks Rashmika and Ayushmann’s first collaboration with the filmmaker.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik and presented by Maddock Films, Thama is written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara. The cast also includes Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles.
