50-Year-Old Man Found Dead at Rangat Mini Ground; Police Confirm Suicide

Date:

Rangat, July 3: A 50-year-old man, Bikas Biswas, was found dead at Rangat Mini Ground early Thursday morning, hours after he was reported missing. Police suspect suicide.

According to police sources, the family had filed a missing person complaint late Wednesday night after Biswas failed to return home. A local search was launched and his body was discovered around 7:00 AM at the Mini Ground, located near the residential area.

The site was secured by police and initial forensic procedures were conducted on the spot. The body was later sent for post-mortem at the local hospital, which confirmed death by suicide. No external injuries or signs of foul play were observed.

Biswas, a resident of Rangat, is survived by his wife, two daughters, and a son currently studying in Class 10.

During the preliminary inquiry, the family indicated he had been under financial and emotional strain for some time. Investigators believe mounting debts and household pressures may have led to the tragic step. However, the exact financial details are being verified and no suicide note has been found so far.

Police have seized personal items and digital devices for further analysis.

Authorities have urged residents to seek timely help for mental health or financial troubles, and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
