JNRM UG Admission Counselling to Begin on July 28; Final Merit List Out on July 23

Date:

The category-wise final merit list for undergraduate admissions to various courses at Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM), Sri Vijaya Puram, for the academic year 2025–26, will be published on July 23, 2025, on the Common College Admission Portal (https://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in) after addressing all claims and objections. Following this, counselling sessions will begin from July 28, 2025, and will continue till August 2, 2025. Admissions, including payment of fees, will be completed on the same day as the counselling. Candidates must attend as per the final merit list and course-wise schedule announced.

A total of 1,296 seats will be filled across undergraduate programmes including B.Sc., B.A., B.Com, BCA, BBA (Tourism), BPES, and language courses. Reserved category candidates (ST, OBC, Divyang, EWS, and wards of Central Govt. employees, ex-servicemen, or JNRM staff) must attend counselling in the forenoon session, irrespective of their serial number, as their seats will be filled first. Unreserved (General) category candidates are to attend based on merit serial numbers, either in the forenoon or afternoon sessions. Afternoon counselling will only be held if vacancies remain after the morning session.

Candidates must report by 8:30 AM on their respective dates and bring original documents along with one set of photocopies. The required documents include: original 12th marksheet and Transfer Certificate (both to be detained by JNRM), original 10th certificate for DOB verification, original category certificate (if applicable), and one passport-size photograph. Certificates downloaded via DigiLocker will be accepted provisionally, but original 12th marksheets must be submitted within a week for final admission by Pondicherry University.

Special instructions have been issued for candidates seeking admission to BPES, who are required to undergo a Physical Fitness Test on the day of counselling. They must arrive in proper sports attire and will be tested in events such as the 100-meter sprint, shot put, standing broad jump, vertical jump, and 12-minute run/walk.

The institution has clearly stated that those failing to appear for counselling on their allotted date and time will forfeit their admission opportunity, and the next eligible candidate on the merit list will be considered in their place.
