The Embassy of India has issued urgent advisories for Indian nationals in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Iran following escalating tensions in the Middle East. Authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution, remain indoors, and follow safety instructions from both local authorities and Indian diplomatic missions.
In Qatar, the Embassy of India warned its nationals to stay informed about developments and adhere to advisories issued by the Embassy and local authorities. Citizens were instructed to avoid military zones, remain inside buildings, and only venture outdoors for essential reasons to reduce exposure to potential risks.
The Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai issued a similar advisory for Indian nationals in the UAE. Citizens were asked to limit travel, stay vigilant, and comply with safety guidelines from UAE authorities. Emergency contact numbers and WhatsApp lines were provided for urgent situations, while both missions continue to operate normally and provide updates as needed.
Earlier, the Embassy in Tehran advised Indian nationals in Iran to remain indoors, avoid unnecessary movements, and maintain awareness of the developing situation. Citizens were directed to monitor news and await further guidance from the Embassy while keeping emergency contacts accessible.
The advisory follows heightened regional tensions after the United States launched what President Donald Trump described as a “massive and ongoing” military operation against Iran to destroy missile infrastructure. In a video message on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that US forces are targeting Iranian missile capabilities to neutralize the threat entirely.
The Indian government’s advisories underline the priority of citizen safety amid growing military hostilities. The Embassy and consulates in Qatar and the UAE have reaffirmed their operational readiness and continue to provide support and guidance for Indian nationals in the region.
Authorities emphasized that Indian citizens should avoid spreading unverified information and rely solely on official channels for updates. Local authorities in Qatar and the UAE have also issued alerts, urging the public to report unidentified objects or debris and maintain situational awareness.
The developments come amid escalating conflict in the Gulf and wider Middle East, with US military operations and regional retaliatory measures contributing to heightened security concerns. Indian missions continue to monitor the situation closely to provide real-time assistance to nationals and mitigate risks posed by the ongoing military activities.
Indian nationals in Qatar, the UAE, and Iran are advised to maintain vigilance, adhere to official instructions, and minimize movements outside their residences. The government continues to coordinate with local authorities and diplomatic missions to ensure citizen safety and provide timely updates as the situation evolves.
