The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Bhubaneswar, has reserved 10 seats each for students from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in its BBA and MBA programmes in Tourism and Travel Management for the upcoming academic session.

The announcement was conveyed by the institute’s admission authorities, indicating that eligible candidates from the islands can apply for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through the prescribed admission process.

For admission to the BBA programme, candidates are required to apply online through the institute’s portal. Applicants must either appear for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate or take the IITTM Admission Test (IIAT), scheduled to be held on April 19, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will subsequently undergo Group Discussion and Personal Interview as part of the selection process.

For the MBA programme, candidates must either appear for the IIAT conducted by IITTM or submit valid scores from recognised management entrance examinations. These include Management Aptitude Test, Common Admission Test, Common Management Admission Test, Xavier Aptitude Test, Graduate Management Admission Test, AIMS Test for Management Admissions, or Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate. Candidates will also be required to participate in Group Discussion and Personal Interview stages.

The reserved seats aim to provide students from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands with access to professional education in tourism and travel management, a sector closely linked to the region’s economic and employment landscape.

Authorities have advised interested candidates to visit the official IITTM website for detailed information on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and fee structures. The institute has also outlined that all admissions will be conducted through a structured and merit-based selection process.

The initiative is expected to create academic opportunities for students from the islands in a specialised field aligned with the region’s tourism-driven economy. The programmes are designed to equip students with skills required for careers in travel, hospitality, and tourism management sectors.

With the admission process underway, candidates have been urged to complete their applications within the stipulated timelines and ensure that all required documents and qualifications are in order.
