Draft Electoral Roll 2026 Published in Andaman & Nicobar, Claims and Objections Open

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has announced the publication of the draft electoral roll for 2026 for the Union Territory’s parliamentary constituency, as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The draft roll was made public on December 23, 2025, and the period for filing claims and objections will continue until January 22, 2026.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are stationed at polling stations across the islands with copies of the draft electoral roll to assist electors in verifying their entries. Additionally, lists of absent, shifted, or deceased electors are also available for public scrutiny. The draft roll and the Absent/Shifted/Deceased (ASD) lists are accessible online via the CEO’s website at https://ceoandaman.nic.in and the Election Commission of India (ECI) portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in.

Eligible electors who have reached 18 years of age or whose names are missing in the draft roll can apply for inclusion by submitting Form-6 along with the declaration form to their respective BLOs or online through the ECI portal. Corrections to existing entries can be submitted using Form-8, while objections to entries can be filed using Form-7. BLOs are supplied with sufficient copies of all required forms to facilitate the process.

To streamline the revision process, special verification camps are scheduled at all polling stations on December 27-28, 2025, and January 10-11, 2026. During these camps, BLOs will assist electors in checking their names, submitting inclusion requests, making corrections, and filing objections as needed.

Electors seeking assistance or clarifications are advised to contact their designated BLO or call the Voter Helpline Number 1950. Authorities have urged all residents to take advantage of this window to ensure their entries are accurate ahead of the 2026 elections.

The CEO’s office reiterated that accurate and updated electoral rolls are critical for a smooth and transparent voting process, emphasizing public cooperation in verifying and correcting entries during the SIR exercise.
