Sri Vijaya Puram, October 17: Access to essential public services in remote Nischintapur village came under review on October 15, when Diglipur Assistant Commissioner Santosh Prakash inspected government facilities and heard residents’ grievances about local issues.
Nischintapur, one of the most remote and difficult-to-access villages in Diglipur Tehsil, was the focus of the visit, which aimed to assess the functioning of public institutions and identify concerns requiring intervention by the administration.
Prakash inspected the Government Primary School, the Health and Wellness Centre and the Anganwadi Centre to review their functioning and the delivery of essential services. At the health facility, he interacted with senior citizens and listened to the concerns and grievances they raised.
At the Government Primary School, the Assistant Commissioner spoke with students, while his inspection of the Anganwadi Centre included a visit to its kitchen.
The visit also provided an opportunity for residents to raise issues directly with the administration. Prakash heard their concerns and recorded them for follow-up, assuring villagers that the matters would be taken up with the relevant line departments and that action would be pursued to address their grievances.
The nature of the specific grievances raised by residents and the measures proposed to resolve them were not detailed in the information provided about the visit.
Members of the local Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) also attended the inspection, bringing elected local representatives into the interaction between the administration and residents.
The visit covered three key public-service institutions serving the village: the primary school, the health facility and the Anganwadi Centre. The inspection and discussions were intended to assess service delivery and bring local concerns to the attention of the departments responsible for addressing them.
Follow-up by the concerned line departments will be central to resolving the issues recorded during the visit. The administration has assured residents that their grievances will be taken up for necessary action.
