CSAB-NEUT 2025: Seat Allocation Schedule Announced for Andaman & Nicobar Students

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 10:
The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has released the official schedule for the 2025 round of engineering, architecture, and pharmacy seat allotments under its CSAB-NEUT scheme. The allocation process, which reserves seats for students from the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in mainland institutions, will begin with online registrations starting June 23.

Students from the island territory who are aspiring for degree-level admissions at National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally funded institutions can now access the CSAB-NEUT portal for updates and instructions. This initiative, coordinated by NIT Rourkela, aims to ensure equitable access to technical education for students from remote regions of India.

As per the official communication, candidates will be required to complete a sequence of online processes including provisional registration, document uploads, verification, choice filling, and seat allotment. All activities will be conducted through the official website: https://csab.nic.in/csab-neut/.

The CSAB-NEUT process caters specifically to students from North Eastern states and Union Territories (NEUT), such as Andaman and Nicobar Islands, ensuring that a proportion of seats in mainland institutions are earmarked for them. This is particularly significant for students from geographies with limited access to large-scale higher education infrastructure.

According to the notification, students should begin preparing necessary documents for upload and verification well before the deadline. Detailed eligibility criteria, business rules applicable by State/UT, and the complete seat matrix are available on the portal.

The seat allocation system operates under a merit-cum-preference model. After the document verification phase, students will be required to list their preferred institutions and courses. Based on these preferences and eligibility, provisional seats will be allotted.

The initiative is part of the broader effort to integrate aspirants from far-flung regions into the national education mainstream. With access to competitive institutions across the mainland, the program has played a vital role in shaping the professional trajectories of many students from Andaman and Nicobar Islands in previous years.

The CSAB-NEUT round provides tailored to ensure inclusivity for NEUT category students. The 2025 schedule has been announced early to provide ample time for candidates and schools in the region to assist students in preparing required documentation.

With engineering and pharmacy sectors continuing to be among the most sought-after career streams in the country, the CSAB-NEUT 2025 allotment process represents a critical opportunity for Andaman and Nicobar students to secure quality education pathways outside their home territory.

Interested candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official website for any updates, announcements, or changes in deadlines, and to complete their applications within the stipulated timelines to avoid disqualification or delays.
