Corbyn’s Cove to Host First-Ever Summer Carnival Festival 2025

The picturesque Corbyn’s Cove Beach is set to come alive on May 10–11, 2025, as the Department of Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, rolls out the inaugural Summer Carnival Festival 2025 under the theme ‘Celebrate the Summer Spirit – Sand, Sea and Smiles.’

The two-day carnival, a new addition to the official tourism calendar, aims to promote local tourism, cultural vibrancy, and eco-friendly practices across the islands. It promises a mix of entertainment, adventure, and environmental responsibility, targeting both residents and tourists.

Day one will kick off at 3 pm with a colorful Summer Parade, featuring floats made from eco-friendly materials. Participants will celebrate the spirit of summer with motifs like tropical fruits, flowers, umbrellas, and hats. The first 50 entries will receive certificates of appreciation from the department.

Adding to the festivities will be a beach quiz competition, a bustling Summer Souk with local handicrafts and island delicacies, and an open stage inviting singers, dancers, poets, and mimics to showcase their talent.

On day two, the focus shifts to eco-conscious fun. From 2–4 pm, youth volunteers from PBMC and NYK will lead an Eco Splash Zone beach cleanup. Meanwhile, the Beach Adventure Arena will offer discounted jet skiing and parasailing sessions. Carnival Game Village will entertain visitors with a treasure hunt and tug of war, continuing the theme of community spirit and excitement.

The department has invited public participation and requested interested attendees to register by May 9 at 10 am. For more details, participants can contact the Tourism Department’s Manager (Operational) at 9933255364 or 03192-244081.
