Miletilak School Gets Clean-Up Drive as Students, Teachers and Parents Join Effort

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 29:  A community-led cleanliness drive at Government Secondary School, Miletilak, focused on clearing unwanted vegetation and improving the cleanliness and safety of the school surroundings. Zilla Parishad Member Abdul Bashir of the Ferrargunj Constituency led the drive, which brought students, teachers and parents together for the upkeep of the educational premises.

The initiative received support and assistance from the Department of Forests & Environment. The participants worked in and around the school campus to remove unwanted bushes and vegetation that had accumulated across the premises.

The clearing work resulted in cleaner surroundings around the school, with the initiative aimed at creating a more hygienic environment for students and teaching staff. The participation of members of the school community also placed emphasis on shared responsibility for maintaining the condition of the campus.

Students, teachers and parents took part in the activity alongside the Zilla Parishad member, making the drive a collaborative effort involving different sections of the school community. Their participation highlighted the role of collective action in maintaining clean and healthy educational surroundings.

The initiative also brought attention to the need for continued community involvement in cleanliness and environmental protection around public institutions. The Zilla Parishad appreciated the effort and encouraged similar collaborative activities at other educational institutions and public places.

The appeal seeks to encourage wider participation in maintaining cleanliness, protecting the environment and improving public spaces through cooperation among local communities and institutions.
