CBSE Opens Re-evaluation Window for Class X and XII Students

Date:

Students who appeared in the CBSE Class X and XII examinations in 2025 and are dissatisfied with their results now have the opportunity to request re-evaluation or mark verification, as per the latest notification issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

As per Notification No. CBSE/Coord/Veri/Class X-XII/2024-25 dated May 19, 2025, the board has opened a structured, multi-stage process for redressal of evaluation concerns. The process, available entirely online, can be accessed through CBSE’s official website: www.cbse.gov.in.

In the first stage, students can apply to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. This facility allows candidates to examine their performance in detail before opting for re-evaluation or verification.

The second stage includes three possible routes:

Verification of marks

Re-evaluation of answer sheets

A combination of both

For Class XII students, scanned copies can be requested from May 21 to May 27, 2025. Applications for re-evaluation or verification can be submitted from May 28 to June 3, 2025.

Class X students can request scanned copies from May 27 to June 2, 2025. The window for re-evaluation and verification for this group will remain open from June 3 to June 7, 2025.

Students are strongly advised to read all instructions carefully before submitting their applications. The process is strictly governed by CBSE’s rules and timelines, and errors or omissions during the application phase may lead to rejections.

The initiative underscores CBSE’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in the evaluation process. Every year, thousands of students across India rely on this window to seek clarification or corrections to their marks.

The re-evaluation process is especially crucial for those students whose future academic or competitive exam plans hinge on improved board exam scores. By offering access to scanned answer sheets, the board is also enabling students to assess their own performance more critically.

With deadlines clearly defined, CBSE expects students to act promptly. The digital-only application system is designed to minimize delays and ensure timely redressal of grievances.

As the evaluation process becomes more data-driven and accountable, the 2025 re-evaluation window is expected to see active participation from students nationwide.
