CBSE Opens Class XII Supplementary Exam Applications, July 8 Deadline

Date:

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 2: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the application process for the Class XII Supplementary and Improvement Examination 2026, directing eligible regular and private candidates to complete the submission of application forms within the prescribed deadline. The board has fixed July 8, 2026, as the last date for submitting applications without payment of late fees.

According to the notification issued by CBSE, the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for eligible regular students will be carried out by their respective schools. The application window commenced on June 30, 2026, and will remain open until July 8, 2026, without late fees.

The notification covers all regular Class XII students who have been placed in the compartment category or those seeking to appear for the Improvement Examination. Such candidates have been instructed to immediately contact their respective schools to complete the necessary application formalities within the stipulated period.

CBSE has assigned the responsibility of submitting the online List of Candidates to affiliated schools for all eligible regular students. School authorities have been directed to ensure that applications are processed and uploaded within the notified schedule to enable students to appear for the examination.

The board has also issued separate instructions for private candidates. Unlike regular students, private candidates are required to submit their applications independently through the CBSE online portal. They have been advised to complete the registration process personally within the application period to avoid missing the deadline.

The application process for private candidates will also remain open from June 30 to July 8, 2026, without any late fee. Eligible candidates have been instructed to submit their Supplementary or Improvement Examination forms directly through the official CBSE website.

CBSE has scheduled the Class XII Supplementary Examination 2026 for July 28, 2026. The examination provides compartment candidates with an opportunity to clear subjects in which they were unsuccessful and enables eligible students to improve their performance in previously cleared subjects in accordance with the board’s examination rules.

With the application process already underway, eligible candidates have been advised to complete the required formalities within the notified timeline. Regular students must coordinate with their respective schools, while private candidates are required to complete the online application process independently through the CBSE portal before the deadline expires.

The board has clarified that the current application schedule allows candidates to submit their forms without attracting late fees. Candidates are expected to ensure timely submission of applications to remain eligible for the Supplementary Examination scheduled later this month.
