Car Nicobar trainee Namita Voilet of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) STC has won a Silver Medal at the Asian Track Cycling Championship held at Tagaytay City Velodrome, Philippines, from March 25 to 31, 2026. Voilet competed in the Women’s Junior Team Sprint Event, representing India alongside teammates Aabha Soman (Maharashtra), A. Jai Jyotshna, and Thabitha S (Tamil Nadu).
The achievement underscores the rising sporting talent emerging from the Car Nicobar Islands and highlights the nation’s growing presence in international track cycling competitions.
