A Camp Court was conducted at the Gram Panchayat Hall, Radhanagar, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, Sushant Padha, IAS, as part of the outreach initiative ‘Sampark Se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’. The programme is designed to take the Administration directly to villages, hear public grievances, and ensure prompt resolution.
Senior officials from Civil Administration, Police, Health, Public Works, Agriculture, Fisheries, Forest, Supply, and Rural Development departments, along with elected representatives of Radhanagar Panchayat, participated in the session. During the interaction, a wide range of public concerns and representations were raised, many of which were addressed immediately. Issues requiring coordination among multiple departments were noted for systematic follow-up, with instructions for time-bound action.
The Andaman Public Works Department (APWD) assured completion of ongoing road repair works within one month. The Civil Supplies Department committed to ensuring timely distribution of LPG cylinders. The Health Department was directed to resolve staff shortages at the Radhanagar Primary Health Centre (PHC), including the deployment of doctors and regular supply of essential medicines. Revenue and BSNL officials were instructed to jointly inspect sites to improve mobile network connectivity.
Following the Camp Court, Deputy Commissioner Sushant Padha and the team conducted field inspections on January 2 and 3 at PHC Radhanagar, Raja Plot, Shyamnagar, and Swarajgram villages. Officials assessed issues such as water scarcity, nallah blockages, flooding during monsoon and high tides, encroachment of public land, and gaps in local infrastructure. Directions were issued for the construction of ring wells, clearance of nallas, submission of technical estimates, and coordinated action across departments.
The outreach programme emphasizes responsive and people-centric governance. By taking administrative officials directly to villages, the initiative aims to ensure efficient service delivery, faster grievance redressal, and transparency in administration. Authorities reiterated that such programmes would continue to engage with communities and monitor implementation of directed actions.
The Camp Court also highlighted the Administration’s commitment to proactive problem-solving. By addressing concerns ranging from road repairs and healthcare shortages to water management and network connectivity, the initiative seeks to improve the quality of public services and strengthen trust between citizens and government authorities.
Officials confirmed that all follow-up actions from the Camp Court would be tracked for timely execution, ensuring accountability across departments. Villagers were encouraged to continue raising issues during these outreach programmes to facilitate continuous improvement in governance and infrastructure development.
