Sri Vijaya Puram, June 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has appointed new office-bearers to strengthen its outreach among cooperative sector stakeholders and the fishing community.
According to a party communication, Nand Kishore Singh, Vice Chairman of the Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd and Secretary of CCWS Ltd, has been appointed as the State Convenor of the BJP’s Cooperative Cell in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Similarly, B. Hema Raju, Director of CCS Ltd, has been appointed as the State Convenor of the BJP Fisherman Cell.
The appointments were made by M. Vinod, State Cell Convenor of BJP, under the guidance of Anil Kumar Tiwari, State President of BJP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Party leaders said the appointments are aimed at strengthening organisational activities and enhancing engagement with cooperative institutions and fishing communities across the Islands. The Cooperative Cell is expected to focus on issues concerning cooperative societies, banking and rural economic development, while the Fisherman Cell will work towards addressing concerns and promoting the welfare of the fishing community.
The BJP leadership expressed confidence that both appointees would contribute to expanding the party’s outreach and effectively represent the interests of their respective sectors.
