Light and Sound Show Schedule Revised at National Memorial for August 8

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 6: Visitors planning to attend the Light and Sound Show on August 8 have been advised to note changes in the programme schedule after the Directorate of Information, Publicity and Tourism (IP&T), Andaman and Nicobar Administration, revised the language and timings of the shows due to administrative exigencies.

According to the Directorate, the revised schedule applies only to the Light and Sound Shows scheduled for August 8. The first show, which was originally scheduled to be presented in Hindi, will now be screened in English. The Administration has also revised the timings of the remaining shows for the day.

Under the updated schedule, the second show will be presented in Hindi at 7.15 pm, while the third Hindi show will begin at 8.15 pm. Visitors, tourists and other guests have been requested to take note of the revised timings and book their tickets accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.

The Directorate has also appealed to tourism stakeholders across the islands to ensure that the revised schedule reaches visitors in advance. Hotels, tour operators, travel agencies, Tourist Information Centres and other concerned agencies have been requested to widely disseminate the updated information so that tourists are aware of the changes before planning their visit.

The Administration said the revisions were necessitated by certain administrative exigencies. It urged visitors and tourism stakeholders to cooperate with the revised arrangements and make bookings in accordance with the updated schedule.

The Directorate of Information, Publicity and Tourism expressed regret for any inconvenience caused due to the changes and sought the understanding and cooperation of visitors, tourists and all stakeholders. The Administration reiterated its appeal for the revised schedule to be communicated widely so that those intending to attend the Light and Sound Shows on August 8 can plan their visit accordingly.
