The story of The Wave Andaman began, as many good things do, over a quiet drink shared among friends. A few like-minded journalists, some from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, others from the mainland, found themselves reflecting on the unique place they called home, or had come to know closely. One truth stood out: these islands, a remote union territory governed from afar, deserved a voice of their own. Not just any voice, but one that was fearless, independent, and rooted in the realities of the people who live here. The idea lingered. Days turned into months, and months into years. But the conviction never faded. Eventually, that persistent spark gave rise to The Wave Andaman, the platform you see today.
We are a journalistic collective and a news and events platform, committed to bringing the evolving story of this island chain into the national conversation.
