Cyber fraud is becoming increasingly organised in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with scammers using fake investment platforms, WhatsApp impersonation, phishing links, QR code fraud and digital payment scams to target unsuspecting people. One victim allegedly lost ₹10.85 lakh through a fake stock trading platform, while another lost ₹50,000 after a caller posed as a government official.
