North Wandoor Beach, also known as Old Wandoor Beach, is facing growing concerns over poor maintenance, littering and misuse despite its scenic appeal. The damaged access road, worsening during rains, has made entry difficult for visitors. Though swimming is restricted due to crocodile threats, the beach holds strong tourism potential. However, lack of monitoring has reportedly turned the isolated area into a spot for drinking, with waste scattered despite installed dustbins. A recent boat fire has further raised safety concerns. Authorities say focus remains on New Wandoor Beach, leaving the old site neglected.
